A Little About Us

Our Edmonton Transportation Team is comprised of 41 professionals. We proudly tackle some of
the most interesting urban and rural projects in Western Canada.

Who we are looking for:

You are a curious collaborator:
You take the time to ask the right questions and get clarity before you design. You operate using a
highly consultative approach and ask the right questions on the onset.
You don’t get bogged down in the details:
While you may consider yourself a perfectionist, you know when to let go of designs for further
review.

You like to work independently but also as a team:
You like to deliver and welcome the opportunity to prove your skills to several Project Managers in
Transportation. You can manage design tasks and solve technical problems.
You are a master multi-tasker
You have a swift ability to pivot between projects and can handle changing priorities

What we are looking for in your application:
 Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field) with a P.Eng, CET, P.Tech, P.L.Eng or
A.Tech designation. A strong candidate working towards professional licensure may be
considered
 Proficient in civil design software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD). Proficiency in other software would
be considered for this position.
 Experience creating 3D corridors in AutoCAD Civil 3D highly desired.
 Proven track record of independently completing concept and functional plans for
infrastructure projects preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
 Strong knowledge of relevant standards (preferably municipal and provincial design
requirements)
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills—able to present ideas clearly and build
strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
 Experience conducting and working through quality assurance and peer review processes.
Bonus points if you have:
 Familiarity with City of Edmonton design standards is an asset
 Roundabout experience
 Interchange experience
 Streetscape/roadway experience on your resume.
Work on multi-disciplinary projects. No day is the same as you find yourself:
 Completing traffic engineering and conceptual designs for various types of transportation
planning and design projects
 Applying city of Edmonton and Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors design
standards/guidelines
 Preparing high quality design and drafting deliverables while meeting scheduled milestones
and budgets
 Being the project designer for projects through the proposal, planning and design phases
 Collaborating with the Professional of Records to ensure overall project delivery
 Participating in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize designs and minimize
rework
 Encouraging and participating in team building with the Transportation group and foster the
values and culture
 Collaborating with multi-discipline project teams and liaison with internal disciplines as well
as external subconsultants to address complex project problems and provide comprehensive
project solutions
 Working in accordance with Quality Management processes, ensure technical quality of
deliverables, and ensure
 schedule milestones are achieved
 Providing traffic engineering and road safety solutions to address project issues and
constraints to achieve client project objectives

Location – Edmonton

Salary range: $70 – 130 and will be assessed on current qualifications and years of experience.
