Who you are...
You have some serious design street cred.
Your expertise in Transportation Engineering is well-established. You have a history of being in lead or
key contributor roles on numerous multimillion-dollar engineering projects or several concurrent
smaller-scale endeavors. You possess comprehensive experience applying design requirements across
all phases of a project, and you are adaptable to varying client standards and expectations.

What we are looking for in your application:
 Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field) with a P.Eng, CET, P.Tech, P.L.Eng or
A.Tech designation. A strong candidate working towards professional licensure may be
considered
 Proficient in civil design software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD). Proficiency in other software would
be considered for this position.
 Experience creating 3D corridors in AutoCad Civil 3D highly desired.
 Proven track record of independently designing and delivering for complex infrastructure
projects
 Strong knowledge of relevant standards (preferably municipal and provincial design
requirements)
 Ability to manage design tasks, solve technical problems, and direct drafting modelling
 Desire to mentor and manage junior to mid-level engineers and technologists
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills—able to present ideas clearly and build
strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
 Experience conducting quality assurance and peer review processes.
Bonus points if you have:
 Familiarity with local municipal design guidelines (City of Edmonton experience is an asset).
 Streetscape/roadway experience on your resume.
 Work on multi-disciplinary projects.

The role:
No day is the same as you find yourself:
 Preparing high quality design and drafting deliverables while meeting scheduled milestones
and budgets
 Being the Professional of Record for your work and the work of others.
 Being the technical expert by providing senior technical review on deliverables to ensure
appropriate engineering judgement, solutions, technical feasibility, and constructability
 Participating in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize designs and minimize
rework
 Being the design liaison for projects through the proposal, design, and construction phases
 Providing technical input on proposals as required
 Training, mentoring, and guiding the technical development of Transportation design technical
staff
 Encouraging and participate in team building with the Transportation group and foster
values and culture
 Improve design and drafting processes and procedures for the Transportation discipline
 Involvement in Continuous Improvement efforts for the Transportation discipline and
coordinate these efforts with other offices and disciplines as appropriate
 Maintaining professional growth and development through training, conferences, seminars,
workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest technology and trends
 Collaborating with other offices and disciplines on issues including technical processes,
procedures, standards, quality management, and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
