Taper & Mudder
We are building relationships with experienced Drywall Tapers and Mudder's for temporary work opportunities with established construction employers in Central Alberta. We are looking for skilled drywall finishing professionals who can step onto a job site and work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates should have proven experience producing clean, professional finishes and be comfortable working to project timelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Apply drywall joint compound, tape and finishing products to achieve smooth, professional surfaces
- Tape and finish drywall joints, seams, corners and fastener heads
- Complete multiple coats of mudding and sanding as required to achieve the specified finish
- Prepare drywall surfaces for painting and final finishing
- Finish inside and outside corners, angles, transitions and other detailed areas
- Identify and correct imperfections, uneven joints, cracks and other drywall deficiencies
- Perform drywall repairs and touch-ups as required
- Use drywall finishing hand tools, sanding equipment and other job-specific tools safely

- Maintain consistent quality while working efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Work independently and manage assigned finishing work with limited supervision
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, drywall installers and other trades
- Follow all applicable workplace health and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional experience as a Drywall Taper, Mudder, Drywall
- Finisher or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with drywall taping, mudding, finishing and sanding
- Ability to consistently produce a smooth, clean and professional finish
- Able to complete assigned work independently without requiring extensive supervision or training
- Strong understanding of drywall finishing techniques, including joints, seams, corners and fastener finishing
- Ability to identify imperfections and complete necessary corrections before final finishing
- Experience working efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Comfortable working on active construction sites and coordinating with other trades
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to provide appropriate work references demonstrating relevant finishing experience
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are an asset
- CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid or other construction safety tickets are assets
- Residential, commercial or large-scale construction experience is an asset
Temporary Work Opportunity
